Aidan was very excited when his Brody Costume (from Yo Gabba Gabba) came in....he just didn't want to put it on! Once we got outside, though, he got in the Halloween spirit!

A Hodge-Podge of Pictures
Fall has been pretty crazy in the Polk household. I haven't had much time to post pictures, but here are a few recent snapshots!
Aidan actually listens at Tumblebus! Wow!
Aidan has an obsession with Mama's old running shoes. They don't even stop him from jumping on the trampoline!

Checking in...
It's been a while since I've posted pics. A lot has happened in the last month...the biggest of which is that we moved to our new house. One of these days I will get around to taking some pictures of our new nest. Aidan has adjusted AMAZINGLY well. He goes to bed better in this house than he ever did in our old house and seemed to understand right away that this was his new home. It's almost as if he was saying, "finally...you brought me home!" Hopefully I'll get some better pics to post this week...but here are a few silly pics from yesterday!
Aidan either checking out his nice big backyard...or yelling at Brady for barking. He likes to do both from here!

Firework Frenzy!
Aidan had a blast the 4th of July. Despite early rain, it cleared up so that we could spend some time at Mimi and Papa's pool. Later, after a second thunderstorm, Aidan saw his first fireworks out at Boomer Lake. I think he had a pretty good time.
What a patriotic march!

Movin' On Up....
....And yes, even to the East side. Aidan will have a new place to call home on July 31st. We sold our house in early June in only 4 days. Fortunately the buyers gave us until the end of July to get out so we were able to find a house that we LOVE. Poor Aidan, has probably not received the attention he expected over the summer, but he's made sure that we still keep our eyes on him at all times!
Aidan's new house. We will move in on July 31st!
We were going to wait until we moved to buy Aidan his own table, but because of the way some things worked out with our new dining room table we needed him to have a place to eat. Just like Mary's Little Lamb, everywhere that Aidan goes, his table is sure to go. He loves it!
What you can't see in this picture is that Aidan is saying, "Cheese!" We aren't even sure how the pink ghost knew we were taking his picture. He got mad when I took my swimsuit coverup away.
Dawson's mommy & daddy sold their house on the same day that we sold ours. This has worked out well for the boys because they have had several play dates as his mommy & I have helped eachother out.

Summer Time, Summer Time, Sum Sum Summer Time!
During summer, flip flops are a must! (BTW...Aidan is saying "cheese" in this picture. We aren't sure where he suddenly learned to do that.)

A Fishy Mouse Story!
Aidan had a blast at his first real vacation in Florida. We went to Disney World, saw boats, the ocean, the pool, and cousin Taylor. Aidan became really fond of Mickey Mouse, but somewhere in Aidan translation his name became Ie-Eee Ouse. We also discovered that Aidan is a fish. We put some floaties on his arms and he became fearless. He didn't want any help swimming in the pool, and continuosly jumped off of the side, swam back, climbed out, and did it again. He also thought the beach was pretty cool. It was also very important to point out EVERY SINGLE BOAT. "Look....Boat!" Of course, boats were everywhere.
Aidan loved the airplane. Take-off seemed to be hypnotic though....he usually fell asleep by the time we could take our seatbelts off!

Ummm....arent' you supposed to fall asleep AFTER Disney World? I guess the anticipation wore him out. This is right after we walked into the Magic Kingdom.
Aidan was so fascinated by "It's A Small World" that we couldn't get him to look at us for anything.
If you look really closely at the blue Dumbo, you might be able to see Aidan in the middle.
Aidan's favorite "ride" at Disney World was the playground!
