A Fishy Mouse Story!

Aidan had a blast at his first real vacation in Florida. We went to Disney World, saw boats, the ocean, the pool, and cousin Taylor. Aidan became really fond of Mickey Mouse, but somewhere in Aidan translation his name became Ie-Eee Ouse. We also discovered that Aidan is a fish. We put some floaties on his arms and he became fearless. He didn't want any help swimming in the pool, and continuosly jumped off of the side, swam back, climbed out, and did it again. He also thought the beach was pretty cool. It was also very important to point out EVERY SINGLE BOAT. "Look....Boat!" Of course, boats were everywhere.

Aidan loved the airplane. Take-off seemed to be hypnotic though....he usually fell asleep by the time we could take our seatbelts off!

Ummm....arent' you supposed to fall asleep AFTER Disney World? I guess the anticipation wore him out. This is right after we walked into the Magic Kingdom.

Aidan was so fascinated by "It's A Small World" that we couldn't get him to look at us for anything.

Krazy May Dayz

Still never a dull moment in the Polk house. I almost let May pass us by without an update, so I thought I'd throw up a few pics so you can see what Aidan's been up (and in) to lately!

Aidan finally got his bubble mower so we can teach him how to mow the yard. EVERY time bubles came out we heard a high-pitched squeal, followed by an even-higher-pitched, "BUBBLES!!!!"

I think he's got the hang of it. Next week we're putting him on the big mower!

This bratwerst looks just about Aidan's size. No...Kyle's not feeding it to him...he's trying to save his dinner from a mini me thief!

This looks like a great place to sit. Not sure why Brady and Aidan decided to climb on Mom's lap in the recliner. I thought the chair was only meant for one...but apparently I was wrong.

Aidan found Daddy's hat....and look what it started!

Egg Hunting Pro!

We had such a fun Easter at the Polk house! By Easter morning Aidan was an egg-hunting pro. We didn't even have to tell him to go find the eggs.....he was on top of it! We had a fun afternoon with Grandma, Grandpa, Mimi, Papa, Great Grandma & Great Grandpa.

Aidan had his first Easter Egg Hunt today! He had a lot of fun picking up the eggs. Only 2 more hunts to go....1 at school and on Easter, of course!

March Madness!

March has been a busy month in the Polk house....vacations, weddings, spring break.....we're tired now! Here are some fun pics from our various happenings.

Bruiser's New Bed!

Bruiser (aka Aidan) figured out how to climb out of his crib today (thanks Kristen). We figured if he was going to escape anyway, we might as well change his crib into a toddler bed so he can escape with a greater chance of not adding to his bruise collection. If you look closely, you may notice a beautiful bruise across the bridge of his nose and in the corners of his eyes. This one did not happen on my watch....he fell on the playground at daycare. As when happens at home, they were busy freaking out and trying to comfort him, while he was busy trying to escape so he could continue playing. Should I be concerned that my child doesn't seem to feel pain? BTW...these pictures are kind. The nose and eyes look much worse in real life!

Staying Into Trouble

As you can see, Aidan continues to keep us busy. We've had lots of bumps and bruises lately. I'm pretty sure we could bubble-wrap the house, install gymnastics mats for flooring and make the kid wear a helmet...and he would still find a way to get hurt. Doesn't seem to slow him down though!

No...We are not in the habit of piling our shoes in front of the closet. Aidan has been obsessed with shoes lateley. Recently he got new shoes....now we notice all shoes! (Wow...Kyle's shoes all look the same!)

One of Aidan's girlfriends at the gym took some pictures of Aidan playing on Valentine's Day! Looks like he was having fun while mommy was working out!
